This interactive episode designed for family physicians will reveal the burden and suboptimal management of hypertension in Canada, as well as their implications in terms of cardiovascular events. The expert panel will discuss effective treatment approaches, including combination therapy and STITCH (Simplified Treatment Intervention to Control Hypertension). Using case studies, the faculty will examine various challenges that individual patients may face and suggest strategies to achieve blood pressure control in most patients. Comments and questions from the audience are strongly encouraged and will be addressed throughout the presentation.
