Obesity Update 2024
WELCOME TO OBESITY UPDATE: A PRACTICE CHANGING CONFERENCE FOR ALL HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONERS
We invite you to the 1st ever Obesity Update Congress, designed exclusively for Canadian Health Care Practitioners. Based on existing population surveillance studies, the prevalence of obesity in Canada has increased significantly over the past three decades. As a leading cause of type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, arthritis, cancer and other serious health conditions, obesity can have serious impacts on those who live with it. It is estimated that one in ten premature deaths among Canadian adults aged 20 to 64 is directly attributable to obesity.(1)
Obesity is a chronic condition seen by HCPs across the country with multiple comorbidities intersecting between disciplines. This conference invites physicians from across specialties and general practice, nurses, pharmacists, dieticians and any HCPs practicing in Canada to join us for one day of learning with a wide range of topics appealing to all.
